(Update) Ces Drilon, 2 pang kasama pinalaya na sa Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Pinalaya na nitong hatinggabi ng Martes mga bandidong Abu Sayyaf ang television reporter na si Cecilia Victoria “Ces" Drilon at dalawang kasama nito sa Barangay Kagay, Talipao, Sulu.

Si Drilon, kasama ang mga cameraman na si Jimmy Encarnacion, assistant cameraman na si Angelo Valderama at university professor Octavio Dinampo ay dinukot noong Hunyo 8.

Si Valderama ay unang pinakawalan noong Hunyo 12 matapos umanong magbayad ng “board and lodging" na nagkakahalaga ng P2 milyon.

Ngunit nilinaw ni Indanan Mayor Alvarez Isnaji, na nagsilbing emisaryo sa negosasyon na “daang-libo" lamang ang ibinayad sa Abu Sayyaf kapalit ng kalayaan ni Valderama.

Pagkaraan nito ay humingi ng P15-milyong ransom ang mga bandido kapalit ng kalayaan nina Drilon. Nagbigay din ng palugid hanggang Martes ng hapon ang ASG upang ibigay ang pera.

Hindi naaibigay ang P15 milyon ngunit pumayag naman ang Abu Sayyaf na palawigin ang deadline at ipagpatuloy ang negosasyon.

Sa ulat ng QTV's Balitanghali, sinabi ni Jun Isnaji, anak ni Mayor Isnaji, pumayag ang mga bandido na huwag ituloy ang masamang banta kina Drilon kapag hindi naibigay ang kanilang hinihingi.

Si Isnaji ay pinili ng ASG na magsilbing emisaryo sa negosasyon sa nagaganap na krisis sa Sulu.

Ayon sa nakababatang Isnaji, ipinaabot ng mga negosyador sa ASG na mahirap maabot ang kanilang hinihinging halaga dahil sa ipinatutupad na no-ransom policy ng pamahalaan. Sa halip, iminungkahi ng mga negosyador ang mga development at livelihood projects sa lalawigan kapalit ng ransom.

"We came upon with a new idea. We told them that the government will never deliver ransom to them because this is contrary to our policy... We try to divert their attention from the ransom. (We proposed to) provide development projects, livelihood," paliwanag ni Isnaji.

Samantala, dakong 6 pm nitong Martes nang ihayag ni Philippine National Police Chief General Avelino Razon na anumang oras ay posibleng makalaya na sina Drilon. - Fidel Jimenez, GMANews.TV
