The son of a retired Leyte policeman, the daughter of a fishball vendor in Manila, the son of a jeepney driver -- these freshies are the prototypical scholars ng bayan in a campus increasingly populated by well-to-do graduates of exclusive high schools. Viewers will see their small worlds grow as they encounter strange characters and unexpected situations at university. Their freshman orientation is disrupted by the sudden appearance of rowdy campus rallyists, their introduction to a central part of UP life. Join these freshmen as they experience their first weeks as “Iskolar ng Bayan" in Howie Severino’s back to school documentary, airing Monday late night on I-Witness.
