1 killed as typhoon hits cellsite in Capiz town

MANILA, Philippines - At least one died when a cellsite tower in President Roxas town in Capiz province fell after it was hit by typhoon "Frank", radio dzBB's Aileen Intia said on Saturday. Citing reports from provincial administrator Zoe Herrera, Intia said the incident happened at about 12 noon. Zoe reportedly said that due to problems in communication, authorities had not yet gathered details about the incident. In Roxas City, dzBB reported that a man was injured after he was hit by a galvanized iron roof. The still unidentified man was rushed to the Capiz Emmanuelle Hospital, according to the report. Affected residents are continuously being evacuated at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center as of posting time, dzBB said. - GMANews.TV
