Pacquiao to donate part of prize money to 'Frank' victims

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao would donate part of his prize money to the victims of Typhoon Frank – that is, if he beats David Diaz in their World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight title bout on Sunday (Saturday in the US). "Mahirap magsalita ng tapos, pero yan ang iniisip kong gawin na kahit papaano makatulong sa kanilang lahat," Pacquiao told Chino Trinidad in a report aired on Friday over 24 Oras, GMA's early evening newscast. [Translation: "I don't want to speak too son, but that's what I intend to do, to somehow help them."] Typhoon Frank wreaked havoc on parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao over the past weekend, capsizing a Sulipicio Lines ship, the MV Princess of the Stars, and killing most of its more than 800 passengers and crew. Pacquiao will face David Diaz at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, to try to wrest the Chicago-based Mexican American's belt. It's the first time ever that Pacquiao is fighting in the lightweight division. - GMANews.TV
