Boston Celtics meet Pacquiao after Vegas victory


Boston Celtics players went straight to Manny Pacquiao's room right after the Filipino boxing champ claimed his fourth world title in his fight with Mexican-American David Diaz in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Celtics, led by NBA champ Kevin Garnett, posed with Pacquiao for a photo shoot. Radio dzBB said Pacman got very excited in seeing Garnett, who is the boxer's favorite player. Pacquiao and Garnett expressed admiration to each other. Boston Celtics cagers watched the bout at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday (Philippine time). Pacquiao knocked out Diaz in the ninth round. Celtics players reportedly reserved 16 tickets to watch and support Pacquiao in his fight. Filipino personalities also watched the bout, among them were former Ilocos Sur governor Luis "Chavit" Singson and his cousin Vincent "Bongbong" Crisologo, and Lito Atienza.
