Pacquiao has turned into a complete fighter - analyst

The Philippines' Manny Pacquiao, who is now the World Boxing Council's lightweight champ, made his best performance on Sunday (Philippine time), making his title bout with Mexican American David Diaz, not just a fight but an "execution," according to sports analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz. Nathanielsz in an interview with radio dzBB on Sunday said Pacquiao "fought like he never fought before," adding that his skill level in fighting improved tremendously, turning him "into a gem." Pacman's stamina was also praised by Nathanielsz, saying the champ had turned into a "complete fighter" when he sustained his prowess from the first to the ninth round and finally knocked out Diaz. Even Pacquiao's trainers, according to a radio report, were awed by his speed, which did not change, but had in fact improved even after he put on some weight to qualify as a lightweight fighter. In Malacañang, Press Secretary Jesus Dureza said President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo watched the bout while she was waiting in San Francisco for her flight back to the Philippines. President Arroyo is expected to return home on Monday. Dureza quoted Mrs Arroyo as saying that she was proud of Pacquiao and that she was uniting with the Filipinos in celebrating Pacman's victory. - GMANews.TV
