UK Embassy in Manila moves to new premises

MANILA, Philippines - From July 10 to 14, the British Embassy in Manila will be closed as it moves to a new site in southern Metro Manila, the embassy said on Friday. The new British Embassy's address is 120 Upper McKinley Road, McKinley Town Center, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City 1634, Philippines. A statement posted on the embassy’s website (ukinthephilippines.fco.gov.uk/en) said only emergency services will continue at the soon-to-be-abandoned premises on Makati City’s Ayala Avenue until July 14. "The Consular Section will operate an emergency service only. British Nationals requiring emergency assistance should contact the duty officer on +63917-5306431," said the statement. The VFS Visa Application Center will remain open but will deal with applications solely by appointment. "Fast track applicants should expect to be able to collect their passports within five to seven working days during this period," the statement added. The embassy’s new phone number at its Taguig premises is (632) 858-2200. - GMANews.TV
