Unruly jeepney, tricycle drivers defy Caloocan ‘discipline zone’

MANILA, Philippines - In less than two months since its implementation, tricycle and jeepney drivers have ruined the "discipline zone" imposed by the local government of Caloocan City in northern Metro Manila. Radio dzBB's Bernie Morales reported Tuesday that the stretch from Monumento to Samson Road to near the Letre area had virtually benn converted into an "illegal terminal" for jeepneys and tricycles. Tricycle drivers had been observed to park their vehicles haphazardly along the stretch of road, while jeeps loaded and unloaded passengers at will, disrupting traffic in the area, the report said. - GMANews.TV
