Sardines down 4 in Koronadal


MANILA, Philippines - At least four persons were hospitalized after eating sardines for dinner Wednesday night at their house in the southern city of Koronadal, a radio report said on Thursday. Bombo Radyo Koronadal reported that the four were rushed to the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital after complaining of dizziness, stomach pains and vomiting. The victims were identified as Vilma Niwa, 32; and her nephews Joel Manapa, 25; Rex Manapa, 23; and Vergel Nabagong, 24, all of Saravia village in Koronadal. Niwa said they felt symptoms of food poisoning two hours after eating the sardines for their dinner. Koronadal, also known as Marbel, is the capital of South Cotabato province. - GMANews.TV
