Bianca Lapus airs side on annulment issue with Vhong Navarro

The news last July 9, 2008, showed how the Court of Appeals affirmed the annulment of marriage of Kapamilya star Vhong Navarro and actress Bianca Lapus. It was in 1998 when Vhong married the already pregnant Bianca in the municipality of Florida Blanca in Pampanga. Seven years after, in May 5, 2005, Vhong filed an annulment case against Bianca. The court pointed out two reasons for granting the annulment, these are: 1.) Bianca was supposedly psychologically incapacitated and 2.) She was allegedly seeing other men when she and Vhong were still together. When the decision was made public, Bianca's life turned for the worse as negative issues began sprouting out such as the one where Bianca was allegedly asking for money from Vhong, her mental state, and her misgiving to their ten-year old child Isaiah Vhong. Yesterday, July 19, she guested in Startalk and answered all the negative issues surrounding her. Hosts Butch Francisco and Lolit Solis interviewed her. "Bianca, yung mga lumalabas sa diyaryo tungkol sa decision, e, parang lumalabas na ikaw ang dahilan ng lahat sa paghihiwalay ninyo. Tanggap mo na yun?" Lolit asked. "Actually po, kung hindi po lumabas [in public], e, hahayaan ko na lang," a dejected Bianca said. "Kumbaga I've kept my silence for many years para lang maging peaceful. Noon pa, hindi kami katulad ng ibang couples na nagbabangayan pa sa TV, etc. ‘Di ba super quiet lang kami? Siguro kung hindi lang lumabas [in public] at hindi ako sirang-sira, hahayaan ko na lang po kasi tahimik na buhay ko ngayon, e." "So, si Vhong ang nag-file, ‘no?" Butch asked to make sure. "Yes, I remember nung nag-guest ako dito when my mom died. He filed for the annulment habang naghihingalo ang nanay ko sa ospital." In addition, Bianca revealed that she didn't attend any hearing and that she didn't sign anything as the case progressed. "Kaya nga po ang sakit," Bianca said. "Ayoko talaga sana magsalita, pero isu-swallow ko na lang ang pride para makalimutan na. Kaya lang, sobra lang talaga. I am affected. Siyempre ayoko na maging mukhang masama si Vhong or anything like that. Okey naman kami sa totoong buhay...I have to be careful with all my statements kasi baka mamaya..." Changing the subject, Butch asked if Bianca was happy now that she's no longer with Vhong. "Halu-halo, yung parang I'm happy na I'm finally free. Sad for my son kasi napaaway siya, e. I mean, tinukso siya like ‘Kaya pala naghiwalay parents mo kasi bad ang mom mo,' ganyan. Hindi palaaway ang anak ko, lumaki po sa akin ang anak ko...at isa pa yun, if I was an unfit mother, sana hindi po iniwan sa akin ang anak ko at sana hindi ako ang nagpalaki." How about the reason that she was seeing somebody else when she and Vhong were still together? Bianca's answer was short. She said, "masasabi ko lang na the short-lived marriage we had was sobrang okey...nung naghiwalay kami, e, sobrang bata lang kami noon." How about the child support issue? Is it true that Bianca was asking for money? "Maski piso po, hindi ako nag-demand ng pera kay Vhong," Bianca boldly exclaimed. "Kung ano yung binibigay niya, e, kusa niya po yun. Kung makalimutan niyang magbigay, okey lang." "Happy ka na sa binibigay?" Butch asked. "Alam mo, kahit five hundred pesos lang ibigay niya maski dati, ok na," Bianca expressed. Wanting to clear things up, Bianca said, "kaya ko kini-clear ang ibang things, e, apektado po ako. Kahit iniintindi ko ang pamilya ni Vhong, e, may pamilya din ako na nasasaktan." Does she have any plans in remarrying soon? "No," Bianca said. She then quipped, "magpapapayat muna ako. First time ko na ikakasal if ever..." Does she have any regrets in marrying Vhong? "Hindi naman, I mean, okey naman ang nangyari. It's just that I think masyado lang maraming nangyayari at natsitsismis. Ang masasabi ko lang talaga, e, I was never a bad wife and a mother. Alam po nila ‘yan." Bianca, who is now by the way in a three-year relationship with her current boyfriend, was asked by Lolit on what was her boyfriend's opinion on the matter. Bianca said, "Tatlong taon na po siyang tumatayong stepfather sa anak namin. Tahimik lang siya nung una, pero nung napanood na niya yung news, e, nasaktan din siya." - Philippine Entertainment Portal
