Govt to include peace subject in school curriculums

MANILA, Philippines - The government is set to include peace education in school curriculums nationwide. Executive Order (EO) 570 institutionalized peace education in basic education. "Through this program of teaching the youth what peace is all about, we hope our country can have a better culture of peace," Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Hermogenes C. Esperon, Jr. told reporters Thursday before the signing of EO 570’s implementing guideline in his office at Ortigas Complex, Pasig City. In the same briefing, Education Secretary Jesli A.
