To her surprise, she told probers, when she returned home on Friday afternoon, she found out that she only had P243,000. She was shortchanged of P180,000. She returned to the money changer, but teller Annabelle Santos insisted that she gave the right amount of P423,000, prompting her to file a complaint with the police. During investigation, the victim asked Santos to give P159,000 instead of P180,000 as a compromise. Santos agreed to give only P50,000 maintaining that she did not cheat.
