Francis Magalona issues statement, admits he's ill

Singer-songwriter Francis Magalona issued an official statement earlier today, August 14, via text message to his Eat Bulaga! family confirming the sad news that he is indeed stricken with leukemia. Yesterday, August 13, word came out about Francis's delicate condition and his need for blood donors. In a phone conversation with Pupil band manager and Francis's good friend, Day Cabuhat, she told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that any blood type coming from donors will be accepted. Francis's blood type as learned by PEP is Type O. "Donations may be made at the lower ground level of the Medical City in the name of Francis Magalona," announced Day. PEP also tried to get in touch with Francis's wife, Pia Arroyo, to solicit more details about her husband's current condition but she never replied. POSITIVE KIKO.
