Patrick's mom on Jennylyn's son: 'I don't know the feeling'

“Di ko alam ‘yung feeling [I don’t know the feeling]."

This was the reaction of Patrick Garcia’s mother when asked how she felt on the birth of her grandson.

In a phone interview with GMA-7’s Showbiz Central, Bing Garcia said that she has neither seen her grandson nor greeted the new mother, Jennylyn Mercado. She said she could not contact Mercado because the actress had changed her phone numbers.

“Wala kaming communication ever since nag-change siya ng contact numbers. Actually, this is my first na pag bati," Garcia said.

She added she’s not even sure whether Patrick knows the big news about Jennylyn.

“Hindi niya ata alam. Wala kasi siya dito eh kasi yung huling usap naming wala pa naman ganitong nangyayari," Garcia said.

She said: “Ayokong pangunahan ‘yung mga plano nila kasi maraming pa silang dapat pag usapan. Silang dalawa ang magkakaintindihan. Tska si Patrick he’s already an adult. So I’m giving him all the liberty na planuhin ‘yung life niya. Basta nandito lang kami in support of them."

Garcia also congratulated young mother Mercado and at the same time gave her condolences for the death of the actress’ father.

Mercado gave birth to a healthy baby boy last August 16 via caesarian section at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

On August 19, Mercado’s father, Rogelio Veloso Mercado, 69, died at the United Doctors Medical Center Hospital due to diabetes complications. - GMANews.TV
