Factory worker falls prey to Budol-Budol gang

MANILA, Philippines - A 23-year-old factory worker lost P2,000 cash and his cellular phone to a member of the Budol-Budol gang who victimized him in Makati City. Radio dzBB's Louie Garcia reported Thursday that Robert Dionero said he gave his valuables to the still-unidentified suspect as "collateral" for a bag supposedly containing P12,000 in bills. Dionero said he was riding a bus when the suspect sat near him and sweet-talked him into helping him in working out a business deal. They got off the bus and the suspect, taking Dionero's cell phone and wallet, told him to wait outside with the paper bag with the "money." After a three-hour wait, Dionero got suspicious and opened the bag, and was dismayed to see newsprint paper folded to resemble wads of money. - GMANews.TV
