Security tight for Ateneo-La Salle finals opener at Big Dome

MANILA, Philippines – Security, as expected, was tight at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City Sunday, in time for Game One of the Universities Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men's basketball finals. Radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported that Quezon City police chief Sr. Supt. Magtanggol Gatdula assigned personnel to watch for petty thieves and snatchers at the venue. Thousands of alumni and students are due to troop to the site to watch the De La Salle Green Archers square off against the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles. He said police from the Cubao police station are also on guard against scalpers looking to take advantage of students and alumni going to watch the game. – GMANews.TV
