MANILA, Philippines – Four tricycle drivers ganged up on and stabbed dead a 19-year-old fellow driver on Thursday morning, reportedly due to a quarrel they had over queuing order in Tondo, Manila. Slain was Ariston Obosa, alias Robert, a bachelor and resident of Tindalo Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila. He died on the spot from head injuries and seven stab wounds in the neck and body, according to Senior Police Officer 2 Edgardo Ko of the Homicide Section of the Manila Police District (MPD). The four unidentified assailants fled after the incident. The incident occurred at 5:30 a.m. in an alley off Ipil Street in Tondo. Three of the assailants hitched a ride on the victim’s tricycle and asked him to bring them to Ipil Street. The fourth assailant was riding on another tricycle behind them. On reaching the alley, the fourth attacker joined the three others in ganging up on Obosa. According to witnesses, the attackers covered their faces with face towel as they fled.
