Korean diver missing off Batangas coast - report

MANILA, Philippines - Search and rescue operations were launched Friday for a Korean national who had been missing for several days after he went diving off the coast of Batangas province. Chief Inspector Vicente Templo of the Mabini municipal police identified the missing person as 42-year-old Yong Kuan-Park, a master diver staying at a local beach resort there. Initial reports said that the Korean national went out diving off San Jose village in Mabini town about 11:40 a.m. last Tuesday. After three days, the Korean national failed to return, prompting his partner, Fe Tolentino, to get worried and report the incident to police. Rescuers from the Philippine Coast Guard and Bantay Dagat have already set out on sea to search for the missing diver. - Mark Merueñas, GMANews.TV
