British pedophile arrested in Dumaguete City

MANILA, Philippines - A Briton is facing deportation proceedings for allegedly engaging in pedophilia in Negros Oriental province.

Richard Holden, 39, was arrested last week by intelligence agents of the Bureau of Immigration at his residence in Boulevard Avenue in Dumaguete City.

Holden’s arrest was based on a mission order issued by Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan. He is now detained at the Immigration detention facility in Bicutan, Taguig City pending deportation.

In a statement released Wednesday, Libanan said he issued the mission order following reports that the suspect had impregnated four Filipina girls during his two-year stay in the country.

BI Intelligence Chief, Faizal Hussin, said Holden allegedly enticed his female victims to have sex with him with promises of financial support, which he did not honor after the girls got pregnant.

Hussin added that Holden was frequently seen stalking young girls in parks, schools and shopping malls and also secretly taking pictures of them.

Confiscated from the suspect upon his arrest was a compact disc (CD) containing pictures and video footages of his sexual intercourse with his victims.

Members of the arresting team also reported that Holden had refused to present his passport or immigration documents to the arresting agents. - GMANews.TV
