RP's Pucay, Pagunsan seek slots in top-tier UBS Hong Kong Open golf

MANILA, Philippines - Mars Pucay and Rey Pagunsan are participating in the Asian Tour's 18-hole International Qualifier set on November 4 at the Palm Resort Golf and Country Club in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
If Pucay, a former driving-range aide, and Pagunsan, uncle of Asian Tour stalwart Juvic Pagunsan, finish in the top three, they will get berths in the $2.5-million UBS Hong Kong Open scheduled November 20 to 23.
Some 102 players representing 17 nations are expected to play in the qualifier.
Other notable names who will compete in Johor Bahru are Danny Chia of Malaysia, 2002 Taiwan Open champion Andik Mauludin of Indonesia, Chan Song and Park Jun-won of Korea, and Lam Chih Bing of Singapore.
Choengchai Panpumpo, one of the youngest Asian Tour members at 17 years old, and Punawat Muenlek will represent Thailand in the qualifier. - Adrian Flores, GMANews.TV
