Man beheads baby in front of mom in Sultan Kudarat

MANILA, Philippines - A 40-year-old man beheaded a 20-month-old baby in front of its mother in Sultan Kudarat province last Tuesday, a radio report said Friday. Radio dzBB reported that the suspect, Abdul Mukalam of Buluan in Maguindanao, beheaded the baby in Lambayong in Sultan Kudarat. The baby, along with parents Jojo and Aileen Fernandez of Quezon City, were on vacation in the area at the time of the incident. Aileen was with the child in front of a relative's house when the suspect suddenly grabbed the baby, knelt, and slashed its throat with a bladed weapon. Residents outraged by the deed ganged up on Mukalam before bringing him to the police station. - GMANews.TV
