Willie Revillame loses P3M in jewelry to thieves

MANILA, Philippines – Unidentified men broke into the house of noontime television show host Wilfredo “Willie" Revillame reportedly carting away P3 million worth of jewelry, police said Monday morning. In a telephone interview with GMANews.TV, Quezon City Police District chief Senior Superintendent Magtanggol Gatdula said the men barged into one of the bathroom windows of Revillame’s house at 516 Cameron St., Corinthian Hills. Gatdula said the robbery was reported about 6 a.m. Monday but declined to divulge further information, saying investigators are still getting latent prints and other evidence from the site. Gatdula also noted that the Quezon City police have yet to release an official report on the incident. Meanwhile, dzBB radio’s Mao dela Cruz quoted Gatdula as saying that the men took about P3 million pesos worth of jewelry. The report said that Revillame and members of his household were on vacation at the time of the break-in.
