Shark attack kills fisherman in Ilocos

MANILA, Philippines - A fisherman was killed in a shark attack in Callaguip village in Paoay town in Ilocos Norte province, a radio report said early Friday. Bombo Radyo reported that fisherman Joel Bacud, 38, succumbed to wounds in half of his body, even as his skin was ripped off during the attack. Initial police reports said Bacud also sustained nine small wounds in the chest. Local fishermen retrieved the victim's body at noon. - GMANews.TV
