Report: Father stabs dead ‘drug addict’ son

MANILA, Philippines - A father stabbed dead his allegedly drug-dependent son after seeing him attack his brother in their home in La Union province, a radio report said Friday evening. Radio dzRH reported that Domingo Macaraeg Sr. took a knife and stabbed his son Rodolfo in the neck, when the victim attacked his brother Domingo Jr. The incident occurred in Luna town, a fourth-class municipality with a population of 32,259 people in 6,561 households. Initial investigation showed Rodolfo started attacking Domingo Jr. after latter confronted him for talking to himself nonstop. At the time, Rodolfo was allegedly high on drugs and took a knife and stabbed his brother. Upon seeing what was happening, the elder Macaraeg took a knife and stabbed Rodolfo in the neck, killing him instantly. - GMANews.TV
