Patrick Garcia to end hiatus once allowed to see son

Controversial actor Patrick Garcia on Sunday said he would only go back to showbiz once his estranged girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado allows him to see their son Jazz. “Kelan ako babalik? Siguro kapag nakita ko na ‘yung anak ko (When will I come back? Maybe, once I see my son)," said Patrick when asked by GMA-7’s Showbiz Central. Jen has repeatedly refused to let Patrick see their baby. She maintained that their son is solely under her care and the child is hers alone. “Sana payagan akong makita ‘yung anak ko. ‘Yun lang (I wish she’ll allow me to see my son. That’s all)," said Patrick, who left Jen and went abroad in the middle of her pregnancy allegedly to pursue his studies. Despite the so many legal options that Patrick may take to see his son, the actor chose to remain patient and wait for Jen to soften up. He also declined to give further comment on their status, saying the matter was too “personal." Meanwhile, the actor admitted that he is going out with young actress Glaiza de Castro. But quickly clarified: “We went there [Rihanna and Chris Brown concert] as a group so it was not really a date." Patrick and Glaiza along with lovers Paolo Contis and Isabel Oli were seen together at the concert last November 16 in Taguig City. When asked why he invited Glaiza, Patrick said giggling, “Bakit hindi?" It might have not been a real date, but Patrick said he enjoyed Glaiza’s company. Glaiza, for her part, said she also enjoyed Patrick’s company. Both actors, however, clarified that they are just friends. “As of now friends lang po talaga kami," said Glaiza. She said that they have been currently exchanging “casual" text messages. And although she is treating Patrick as a friend, Glaiza said she is not ruling out the possibility of dating the actor. “I don’t see anything wrong kung mangyayari man yon pero ayoko pa talagang isipin. Ngayon nag e-enjoy lang ako eh. Ayoko ko munang mag-isip ng negative things (if we take things to the next level. But I don’t want to think about it yet. Right now, I’m just enjoying and I don’t like to entertain negative things)," she said. “Let’s take things slow... although I know na wala naman sigurong masama (there’s nothing wrong)," she added. - Aie Balagtas See, GMANews.TV
