2 die of heart attack while watching Pacquiao-De la Hoya fight - report

MANILA, Philippines - At least two people suffered fatal heart attacks while watching the historic bout of Filipino boxing champ Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao and Oscar de la Hoya Sunday, a radio report said. Bombo Radyo reported that Lout Gary Ocot of Magsaysay town in Misamis Oriental suffered a heart attack while watching the bout with his wife at a mall. The report cited testimonies by witnesses that Ocot seemed distressed while watching the fourth round of the bout. Ocot was rushed to the Madonna Child Hospital but was declared dead on arrival, the report said. In Cebu province, an 80-year-old man, Santos Pangatungan Sr., also suffered a heart attack while watching the third round of the bout in Lapu-Lapu City. PO1 Jomar Ortes of the Lapu-Lapu City police said Pangatungan was rushed to the Mactan Doctors Hospital but it was too late for doctors to save him. - GMANews.TV
