Pacquiao arrives at Palace for Arroyo courtesy call
(Updated 9:25 a.m.) MANILA, Philippines - Filipino boxing champ Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao arrived in Malacañang Palace hours after arriving in the country early Wednesday for a courtesy call on President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Radio dzBB's Aileen Intia reported that the courtesy call came three days after Pacquiao won a bout with Oscar de la Hoya via technical knockout. The champ met with President Arroyo inside the Palace's Music Room, the report said. The report added that during the visit to Malacañang, Pacquiao was flanked by Environment Sec. Jose “Lito" Atienza and Deputy National Security Adviser Luis “Chavit" Singson. Also with him was Bacolod City Representative Monico Puentevella. - GMANews.TV
