Jealous wife cuts hubby’s 'manhood'

BAYOMBONG, Philippines – An allegedly philandering husband in the northern province of Nueva Vizcaya went to bed drunk on Wednesday night and woke up to find two important parts of his life missing – his wife and his penis. Police said 26-year-old housewife Agnes Dangiw, in an apparent fit of rage and jealousy, cut her husband Bong's penis using a sharp kitchen knife as he was in deep sleep. Unlike John Wayne Bobbit, the former US Marine whose penis was successfully reattached after it was severed by his wife Lorena Leonor in 1993, Bong Dangiw will have to live without the symbol of his manhood. Doctors at the Veterans Regional Hospital in Bayombong where the man was taken reportedly failed to reattach the penis. Authorities are still hunting the woman, who hurriedly left their rented apartment on Salvacion village after the incident. Initial police investigation said the woman was apparently overcome with jealousy and rage after her neighbors teased her for allowing her husband to continue philandering. She reportedly forced her intoxicated 28-year-old husband go home with her, after which she took the law into her hands. According to case investigator Police 0fficer 1 Roderick Rabago of the Bayombong Police, Dangiw’s wife "may have been swayed by the pranks of their neighbors to get even with the husband by cutting his penis, which she did." Rabago said that the wife might have long suspected Dangiw to be having an affair with a female student at Nueva Vizcaya State University. Police disclosed that Agnes, a native of Putlan village in Caranglan, Nueva Ecija, filed before the Police’s Women’s Desk a complaint of physical injuries against her husband a few days before the crime was committed. - GMANews.TV
