OFWs in Qatar to celebrate Christmas the Filipino way

MANILA, Philippines - Filipinos from Leyte, Samar, and Biliran who are currently residing in Doha, Qatar are set to hold a Christmas party on Friday that would showcase traditional Filipino practices during the holidays, an online report said. According to The Peninsula, the Leyte-Samar-Biliran (LeySamBil) Association in Qatar will hold a party that will include the usual Filipino Christmas party activities and will feature traditional Filipino dances and cuisine. “We want to re-introduce our organization to the rest of the Filipino community and other residents in Doha," said LeySamBil Chairman Gerry Macasa. Moreover, he said that this annual gathering aims to “strengthen the mutual ties" of the Filipinos from Leyte, Samar and Biliran.
