Kho admits suicide try, brief affair with Halili

MANILA, Philippines – Dr. Hayden Kho, the beleaguered ex-boyfriend of beauty icon Dr. Vicki Belo, finally broke his silence on Wednesday, admitting that he tried to kill himself after Belo decided to break up with him. He also admitted having a brief affair with Katrina Halili but denied any involvement with Rufa Mae Quinto. He also denied having made any sex videos with any of them. Kho, in an exclusive interview with Lhar Santiago that was aired on 24 Oras, said he tried to kill himself because he felt so depressed for cheating on Vicki. "Totoo yun, totoo yun," he said. "I tried to hurt myself because yung parang ego ko nagsabi sa akin na masama akong tao at yung ego ko na rin, yung parang binigay sa akin is death penalty. [Translation: "It's true. I tried to hurt myself because my ego was telling me that I was a bad person."] Kho said he wrote the words "I love you Vicki" all over his body the day before his suicide try. "Yun'yung last message ko noon," he said. "If that wasn't true I wouldn't write that and just kill myself just like that. Para saan yon? Mambobola ba ako? Tingin mo ba ang taong nagpakamatay mambobola sa last message niya?" [Translation: "That was my last message. If that wasn't true I wouldn't write that and just kill myself just like that. What’s that for? To fool Vicki? Do you think somebody who wants to end his life would use his last message for flattery?"] He also admitted that, indeed, "unfaithfulness" was the reason behind the end of their three-year, May-to-December romance. The 28-year-old budding actor also discussed the real score with sexy actresses Halili and Quinto – who were implicated as the cause of his splitup with Bello. "Kay Katrina lang ang totoo. Nagkaroon kami ng affair ni Katrina ," he said. "But it was very, very, very short. It was more like fun na parehas kaming ego lang, na naglaro na wala kaming personal na attachment." [Translation: "It's only the affair with Katrina that's true. But it was very, very, very short. It more like fun, like an ego trip for both of us, that we were playing without any personal attachment."] In earlier reports, Halili denied having had any involvement with Kho. But Kho denied reports that he and Halili made a sex video. "There's none, there's none. Nil. Zero," he stressed. He appealed to the public to give him and Bello a chance to sort things out and not aggravate the situation. "Nakikikusap ako sa inyo please kung kayo man ang sumusulat nung sex video wag niyo nang dagdagan yung problema kasi parehas kaming nahihirapan eh. At bigyan niyo naman kami ng pagkakaton ni Vicks patch things up," he said. [Translation: "I appeal to those are writing the stories about the sex video: Don't add to the problem. We are both having a hard enough time. And give me and Vicks a chance to patch things up."] Asked how he planned to spend his Christmas without Bello, he could only answer after a long pause, a shake of the head, and a pained smile: "I don’t know how." Kho has no clear plans for himself, except to fight to win Bellow back. His last message for Bello? "Amor, mahal [love], my princess, I do love you, and although I’ve committed those mistakes, unfaithfulness, I do love you. As in I love you in every sense of the word.
