Security guard jumps to his death from Manila building

MANILA, Philippines — A security guard plunged to his death from a building he was guarding in Manila early Saturday in an apparent suicide case, police said. Emmanuel Magsinang, 42 years old and married, jumped from the 12th floor of Atlanta Building on Navarra and Dapitan streets in Sampaloc district, said Detective Gerry Amores of the Manila Police District (MPD)-homicide section. Amores said Magsinang landed on the roof of the Caltex gasoline station and suffered severe body and head injuries. The incident happened at about 9 a.m. and the victim was taken immediately to UST Hospital but he died at 1:11 p.m., said Amores. Despite the apparent suicide, police said they were looking for more clues and not yet ruling out foul play. - GMANews.TV
