Katrina finally blows lid off her romance with Hayden

MANILA, Philippines — After repeatedly declining comment on rumors about her involvement with celebrity Dr. Hayden Kho, actress Katrina Halili on Monday finally blew the lid that she had a “brief romance" with the doctor while he was still on with Dr. Vicki Belo.
In an exclusive interview with Lhar Santiago aired Monday on GMA Network’s early evening newscast 24 Oras, Halili maintained that she is unfazed by the scandal because she long regretted having such kind of affair.
"Nagkamali ako. Siyempre tao lang naman po ako, ‘di ba? Kaya nga nung nalaman kong nagkamali ako matagal na akong lumayo at matagal ko nang pinagsisihan yon. Ngayon, hinarap ko siya at sinasabi kong hindi ako affected dahil matagal ko na pong pinagsisihan kung ano man yung pagkakamali ko," she said.
[I made a mistake. Of course, I’m only human, right? That’s why when I realized that I made a mistake I stayed away from him and regretted what happened. Now, I faced him and told him that I’m not affected because I’ve already regretted my mistake.]
Notwithstanding the controversy, Halili said she still enjoys normal life. She, however, told the public that many people should share the blame for causing the Vicki-Hayden split-up.
"Kung naghiwalay sila maraming ibang bagay yun. Wag naman po yung ako lang. Marami pong ibang bagay. Ang baduy naman na hiwalay sila dahil sa akin lang. Na ang tagal tagal ng wala."
[There could be a lot of reasons behind the break-up. Please don’t put the blame on me.]
Halili also defended herself by saying she is not a bad woman.
“Kung talagang masama akong tao, nanay ko na mismo ang hihila sa akin dito [para] tumigil ako sa showbiz. Pauuwiin na ako sa probinsiya. Hindi eh, nandiyan yung nanay ko nandiyan yung mga family ko, yung mga kaibigan ko alam nila kung ano 'yung totoong nangyari at siyempre alam nila na nagkamali ako at pinagsisihan ko yon."
[If I’m a bad woman, my mom would be the one to tell me to go home to the province and leave show business. But it’s not like that. My mother is there; my family and friends are there because they all know the truth.]
Kho, last week, admitted that he had a brief affair with Halili but stressed that it was a “short term relationship without personal attachment." He also said that they were just “ego" tripping.
Kho also denied any involvement with Rufa Mae Quinto. He also denied having made any sex videos with any of them.
Halili, for her part, deplored Kho’s statement, saying it was wrong to call their affair as “ego" tripping.
“Kapag pumasok ako sa isang relasyon, seryoso po, hindi po ako nakikipaglokohan. Ngayon kung sila po nakikipaglokohan wala na po akong magagawa doon," she said.
[I’m serious with all my relationships. I don’t monkey around. Now, if they are simply fooling around that’s already beyond my control.]
She also said that her relationship with her rumored boyfriend, Kris Lawrence, remains unshaken by the controversy.
The actress said she was able to explain to Lawrence, the Star in a Million grand winner, the real score with Kho even before the scandal broke out.
Halili added that they would pursue their earlier plan to take a vacation in the United States. They will fly Tuesday and are expected to be back by January 5. - Aie Balagtas See, GMANews.TV
