Firecracker blast causes LRT station panel to fall off

MANILA, Philippines - A metal panel of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) station in downtown Manila was dislodged and crashed on the street after being jarred by a powerful firecracker explosion before dawn Thursday. Radio dzBB's Louie Garcia reported that no one was hurt in the incident as the 25-meter-long panel near the LRT Carriedo station crashed to the ground. Initial investigation showed the panel was dislodged after a "bawang" lighted by revelers in the area exploded. - GMANews.TV
