Pauleen Luna has dengue, needs blood donors

MANILA, Philippines – Kapuso Star Pauleen Luna is currently confined at the Philippine Heart Center due to dengue, a television report said Tuesday. In "24 Oras"’s "Chika Minute" portion, host Pia Guanio said Pauleen, a mainstay of noontime show “Eat Bulaga," has been confined at the hospital since Friday last week. She said Pauleen is in need of blood donations. Relatives of the young actress are appealing to those who have type B positive blood to visit the Heart Center. Pauleen is the ex-girlfriend of Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian of Valenzuela City, which was included in the list of the Department of Health that recorded an upsurge of dengue cases last year. Last November, the DOH reported that dengue cases more than doubled in Metro Manila and Central Luzon, but decreased in other regions during the past ten months. - Fidel Jimenez, GMANews.TV
