Aboitiz unit ties up with US firm

MANILA, Philippines - Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc. has signed a deal with US-based Davies Energy Systems, Inc. to provide energy-efficient solutions to private companies and local government units.
In a statement, the American firm said the products seek to cut consumption for costly energy resources by providing a package of systems, technologies and financing to local firms and government entities.
Under the deal, Aboitiz Energy and Davies Energy will apply their expertise and technologies to reduce energy costs for office buildings, shopping malls, commercial centers, manufacturing plants, industrial facilities and government offices.
The agreement also involves project financing that will allow customers to save energy with little or no up-front cost.
