Lovi Poe still feels her late father's love

Lovi Poe is turning 20 this month, and so, Showbiz Central gave her an early birthday treat in Mo Twister's segment "Gimme Mo." The showbiz treat was a package of five questions from five of Lovi's friends in the industry: Sunshine Dizon, Yasmien Kurdi, Aljur Abrenica, Prince Stefan, and German Moreno. Most Wanted Question No. 1: "Ano ang pinakamatinding trial na hinarap mo?" "I guess, when I lost my dad [Fernando Poe Jr.]," Lovi replied. "Yun ang pinakamatinding trial na dumaan sa buhay ko. Maybe because it was just, he was like my guide. I lost hope when he was gone." Lovi was 15 when FPJ died. Now that she's 20 and her career is flourishing, how does it feel with her dad not being here to witness all this? "Actually, one of the reasons why hindi ako nag-debut is because of my dad," Lovi explained, referring to her 18th birthday two years ago. "Parang no reason naman [na mag-debut] pag wala ka nang dad. Its hard... In some way, with the other people around me and the support I get, e, it really helped me a lot." Most Wanted Question No. 2: Is it true that Lovi's crush among the Kapuso actors is JC de Vera, her co-star in Lalola? "Well, actually, schoolmate ko siya noon sa CSA [Colegio de San Agustin in Makati]," said Lovi. "Naging ka-close ko yung brother niya. I admit na ina-admire ko si JC." Did she befriend JC's brother to get close to him? "Classmate ko kasi si RJ [JC's brother]," said Lovi. "Seatmate ko pa." Can Lovi say right now that she has a crush on JC? "Siguro masasabi ko lang na ina-admire ko siya dahil magaling siyang actor at mabait na tao. Nag-uusap naman kami," smiled Lovi. Is her leading man Prince Stefan jealous of Lovi's crush? Lovi laughed, "Si Prince naman kasi, matagal ko na siyang kaibigan at matagal ko nang kasama sa Lalola at SOP. I don't know..." If she had to choose, would it be JC or Prince? "JP," Lovi smiled. "JC and Prince. Sabay!" Most Wanted Question No. 3: Who is courting Lovi now or making their romantic intentions known to her? "Wala, e," answered Lovi, much to the disappointment of the fans. After much egging from Mo, she relented: "Si Prince." Most Wanted Question No. 4: What lessons does Lovi get from her mom, Rowena Moran? "I think there are a lot of things," said Lovi. "Hindi niya naman ako pinagbabawal. Pinagsasabihan niya lang ako on what I should do on such things. She gives me advice; if I don't take it, I'l llearn it the hard way." Which advice did she not follow? "Sa love," revealed Lovi. "She told me about the reputation of a guy [non-showbiz] who is babaero." Is Lovi's mom still strict with her lovelife? "Oo," admitted Lovi. "Actually, kahit ako paglaki ko, e, ganoon din ako sa anak ko. Alam ko na alam ng mom ko kung anong best para sa akin." Most Wanted Question No. 5: Who was the one guy that made her feel the love she deserved?" "My dad," answered Lovi. "Kasi yung dad ko, hanggang ngayon nararamdamam ko pa rin, e. Ang karespe-respetong name na iniwan niya. Madami akong mistakes sa buhay, pero dahil sa ama ko siya, e, nakukuha ko pa rin ang respeto. Kaya doon ko nararamdaman ang pagmamahal." Does she sometimes confide with her dad? "All the time," said Lovi. "May picture siya doon sa room ko... may times na kinakamusta ko siya or nagbabalita ako." Aside from her dad, is there someone else who has expressed his love for her? "Si Jolo [Revilla]," admitted Lovi. "Yung respeto na bingay niya sa akin at sa mom ko, na parang kahit maraming intriga, e, hindi na napalaki pa. Iba talaga ang respeto na binigay sa akin at sa pamilya ko." How about Prince? What is she expecting from Prince this year? "From Prince, ine-expect ko na talaga na gaganda ang love team naming dalawa.
