Uichico expects Caguioa’s PBA return in Fiesta Conference

MANILA, Philippines – Barangay Ginebra coach Jong Uichico said main man Mark Caguioa is likely to be back in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Fiesta Conference this season. “He’s improving, he’s still doing the rehab," Uichico said. Caguioa has not played a single game in the Philippine Cup owing to a knee injury. “We want him to come back before the start of next conference (Fiesta Cup), but it all depends with his progress with the rehab program." The most popular team in the land, however, is expected to still figure prominently in the tournament after acquiring JC Intal, Doug Kramer and Chico Lanete in a trade with Burger King. The Gin Kings, though, lost big man Alex Crisano the other day, deciding to let go of their Fil-Am slotman to Red Bull in exchange for a 2010 second round pick.
