MANILA, Philippines - Flower vendors in Manila continued to make a killing Saturday as buyers continued to swamp shops on Valentine's Day.
GMA's Flash Report said that at Manila’s Dangwa center on Laong Laan Street, the biggest concentration of flower vendors in Metro Manila, shops were selling a dozen red and white roses for P350 and P300 for paper roses.
Tulips were priced at P120 per stem and Ecuadorian roses at P200.
Flower arrangements can be as cheap as P200 or as expensive as P10,000.
GMA reporter Steve Dailisan said that the prices were expected to go down by 20 to 30 percent on Saturday night and will go back to normal on Sunday. - Kimberly Jane T. Tan, GMANews.TV
