"Labor and Birth" and "Rules of the Air"

Episode on February 18, 2009 Wednesday late night after Saksi One week after the stranding of an estimated 300 oceanic dolphins called melon-headed whales in Bataan, Doc Ferds and a team of marine mammal experts check on the last remaining rescued dolphin in Subic. After the tragic death of three of its family members, the surviving female dolphin pops surprising news to its rescuers - a baby dolphin is on its way! When the team discovers that the melon-head is expecting, all stops are pulled to ensure its safe delivery. But when the melon-head mother suddenly goes into premature labor, it becomes a race against time to save two vulnerable lives. Doc Ferds recounts what is perhaps the most unforgettable wildlife emergency in his veterinary career. Last Friday, an aircraft suddenly encountered engine trouble as it attempted to land on the runway of Tacloban Airport. The plane eventually landed safely and no one was harmed in the incident, except for the "culprit" - a bird that was sucked into the plane's propeller, causing engine damage. In New York, a similar incident occurred when a flock of geese hit the plane's propellers shortly after take off. Romi Garduce examines the measures that ought to be taken to prevent such disasters involving people and animals. With humans and wildlife sharing one sky, how will the safety of each species be ensured? Don't miss this heart-pounding episode of Born to be Wild airing on Wednesday after Saksi!
Huwag palalampasin ang Born to be Wild ngayong Miyerkules pagkatapos ng Saksi!
