Chan sparkles in Barako Bull's win

MANILA, Philippines – Rookie Jeff Chan shone on both ends of the floor in the dying seconds to lead Barako Bull to a 92-90 win over Alaska Sunday night in the Motolite-PBA Fiesta Cup at the Araneta Coliseum. Chan shattered a 90-90 deadlock with a fade-away jumper with 5.7 ticks left then blocked a potential game-tying drive by Willie Miller to preserve the win. Thus, the Energy Boosters entered the win column after two successive setbacks. It was also the first win for ex-Ginebra guard Leo Isaac, who assumed the coaching mantle at Barako Bull at before the import-laced conference. Alaska suffered its second straight setback. -GMANews.TV
