Final mass for Francis Magalona ends

MANILA, Philippines - The final mass for the Master Rapper is over. The cremated remains of Francis Magalona, the King of Pinoy Rap, will now be brought to the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City from the Christ the King Memorial Chapel in Green Meadows, Quezon City, after the mass ended around 10:20 a.m. During the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. Jeff Quintanilla said in his sermon that Magalona's time on earth, despite being short, was "fruitful" and "well-fought." Before the final commendation was given to the Master Rapper, Fr. Martin Macasaet of Don Bosco Technical Colleges gave a token of solidarity. "We are proud that Francis studied high school in Don Bosco. Here's a token of solidarity for the Magalona family," Macasaet said. Magalona passed away last Friday due to acute myelogenous leukemia. He was 44. - Aie Balagtas See with Johanna Camille Sisante, GMANews.TV
