Pagasa: shallow low-pressure area nears Bohol


MANILA, Philippines - A shallow low-pressure area may bring scattered rainshowers over parts of the country, state weather forecasters said Monday afternoon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the SLPA was estimated at 60 kms East of Tagbilaran City as of 2 p.m. "Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening," it said in its 5 p.m. bulletin. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Northern and Eastern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough, it said. Elsewhere winds will be light to moderate blowing from the East and Northeast with slight to moderate seas, it added. - GMANews.TV
