Ginebra parades new recruits in rare Monday game
MANILA, Philippines - A doubleheader featuring a revamped Barangay Ginebra quintet takes the floor as the Motolite-PBA Fiesta Cup resumes with a rare Monday playing schedule at the Astrodome. The Kings parade a new import in David Noel and play new acquisitions Cyrus Baguio and Homer Se against the Burger King Whoppers when the two teams collide in the 5 p.m. curtain raiser. Noel, a member of the North Carolina Tar Heels team that won the 2005 U.S. NCAA title, arrived in the country Saturday. He replaced former NBA first round draftee Ryan Humphrey, who failed to play a single game after being measured to be over the 6-foot-6 height limit. Baguio and Se meanwhile, were acquired by the franchise following a marathon trade the Kings sealed with the Whoppers late Friday. The Kings (3-5) are coming off a 94-89 win over Rain or Shine despite playing without import in their last outing. Burger King (4-4) meanwhile, lost to Purefoods, 82-78. Talk `N Text (4-3) battles the skidding Rain or Shine (5-4) in the second game. –GMANews.TV
