ITCZ to bring rains in RP - Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring scattered rains in the country, state weather forecasters said. In its 5 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the ITCZ is affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. "Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms," it said. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast and south would prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the Southwest and Variable over Mindanao, Pagasa said. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago would be slight to moderate, it added. - Aie Balagtas See, GMANews.TV
