3 missing in Cagayan flashflood accounted for

MANILA, Philippines – Police authorities on Wednesday said the three boat operators earlier reported missing during a flashflood in Rizal town, Cagayan province have already been accounted for. In a text message to reporters, Chief Superintendent Roberto Damian, Region 2 police director, said they received news that William Palingayan, Peter Palingayan, and Liezel Pader were “all fine." Damian said the head of Rizal police was able to communicate with one of the children of the operators, who said that the three are now in Dunggan village and proceeding to Mauanan village. Damian, however, did not indicate whether the eight boats they were searching for were already found. Earlier in the day, the Cagayan Valley regional police director said they recovered 27 dead carabaos that drowned because of the flood waters that hit Rizal town Tuesday night. - GMANews.TV
