With GF by his side, Hatton wins in the game of love

MANILA, Philippines - Richard John “Ricky" Hatton might have lost in his boxing match, but not in the game of love. The 30-year-old British pugilist recovered from his fall with fiancé Jennifer Dooley right by his side.

The lovers joined a pool party at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas hours after Hatton was defeated by Filipino boxing icon Emmanuel “Manny" Pacquiao, the Daily Mail reported on Monday.

The report said Dooley – who resigned as a college lecturer in 2007 to support Hatton before his defeat in his fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2007 – displayed her model figure in a black bikini, and rubbed lotion on her boyfriend of five years.

Dooley got very emotional after the supposed Hitman was “gunned down" by Pacman in their second round bout on Sunday. She always fears for her boyfriend’s health, according to the Daily Mail.

But Hatton’s girl has no reason to fear for now. Though the Mancunian boxer admitted that he was hit hard by the Filipino boxer from General Santos City, neurosurgeons gave him a clean bill of health.

The pair, who is converting their house into a £3-million love nest, earlier said that they would tie the knot only after Hatton retires. Would it be sooner?

Hatton’s father said it was unlikely that his son would soon hang his gloves.

"He's perfectly all right. They've checked him out. He's had all the tests and everything. He's not got a mark on him," said Ray Hatton on BBC Radio on Sunday. - GMANews.TV
