Lightning strike kills boy tending cows in Iloilo

MANILA, Philippines - A 16-year-old boy in a grazing land was killed after lightning struck him in Iloilo province, a radio report said early Thursday. Visayas-based Bombo Radyo reported that John Mart Lastimuso died instantly after being struck at Damires village in New Lucena town in Iloilo. Investigation showed the victim was in the middle of the pasture tending cows when lightning struck him. The victim sustained burns throughout his body and was declared dead on arrival at the New Lucena Polytechnic Hospital. Lastimuso was the second casualty of a lightning strike this week in Iloilo, the report said. - GMANews.TV
