Pauleen Luna's dream: To be a Sexbomb dancer

Isang kakaibang Pauleen Luna ang mapapanood ng mga televiewers once 'Adik Sa' Yo' begins airing later this month. Kung ano exactly ang bago, we'll let Pauleen tell you herself -- through this article. Last napanood si Pauleen Luna sa Luna Mystika bilang isa sa mga lambanang gumagabay kina Luna at Celestina. This time around, mas malaki ang role na gagampanan ni Pauleen, literally. "I am the girlfriend of Dennis [Trillo] who wants to be a Sexbomb dancer," that's Pauleen's role in a nutshell. Pero siyempre, as the story goes along, mas lalawak pa ang understanding natin sa character niya. For now, mas focus sa pagiging ambitious ni Camille ang storyline niya. "Lumuwas ako ng Maynila, tapos nag-audition na ako sa Sexbomb," kwento ni Pauleen. And one of her tests would be to perform live. "I think sa SOP, but hopefully [we get to shoot] sa Eat Bulaga. That would be nice." During the pictorial, kinakausap na ni Pauleen ang Sexbomb dancers na magiging part ng Adik Sa'yo, one of whom was Aira -- ang babaeng parang walang buto kung sumayaw! Pauleen shares, "Nagpapaturo ako kay Aira. Yan, kaya lahat! I always tell her na every time we're in a production number, tapos kasama ko siya, tama naman 'yung ginagawa ko, pero parang nawiwindang ako kasi iba 'yung galaw niya talaga e. Amazing. Parang hindi siya nahihirapan." And that's exactly what Pauleen needs for her character na willing to do everything para makuha ang dream spot niya among the Sexbomb dancers! With her return to romantic comedy, after Ako si Kim Samsoon, natutuwa si Pauleen na mas makakasama na siya ngayon sa comic side ng show. After all, kinailangan maging straight ang character niyang si Cherry sa Koreanovela remake. "Eto, hindi naman," Pauleen says. Ang pagkapareho lang ay may kaagaw na naman siya sa affections ng boyfriend niya. "Parang love triangle." Ibang excitement rin ang nararamdaman ni Pauleen upon finding out that Joel Lamangan, dgpi, will be directing them for this soap! "It's the first time I'm working with Direk Joel on TV! And first time ko makakasama si Marvin [Agustin] sa show." At dahil she's worked with the likes of Jolina Magdangal, Dennis and most of the cast before, Pauleen is sure na magiging masaya ang show na ito for her. "It's gonna be fun. And I'm very happy kasi 'yung group na to at ng Luna Mystika at ng Zaido ay [pareho], so I'm very comfortable na with everyone." Siyempre though, for a new role, Pauleen says may preparations pa rin siyang gagawin. Especially since may nuances ang character niyang kailangan niyang matutunan -- gaya na lang ng kanyang Batangueña accent. "Papaturo ako kay Ogie Alcasid," Pauleen tells us with a laugh. In all seriousness though, Pauleen wants people to watch Adik Sa'yo because it's something different from the usual soaps we have on television now. "Wala masyadong iyakan, mostly tawanan. "[Ang] gusto naming iparating doon sa audience, 'krisis na nga tayo, gipit pa tayo sa pera, iiyak pa tayo sa TV? Tumawa naman tayo for a change.'" Pauleen hopes that their new show will hit with the viewers, "para masundan ng iba pang mga teleserye na romantic comedy din." And who wouldn't want more of that, 'di ba?
