MANILA, Philippines – The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting the Visayas caused the cancellation of a Cebu Pacific flight bound for Caticlan town in Aklan province, a radio report said Wednesday morning.
Radio dzBB’s Manny Vargas quoted Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 flight information officer Anna Salazar as saying bad weather prompted the airline to cancel its 5J-893 (Manila-Caticlan) flight.
The airlines’ management also called off 5J-894 (Caticlan-Manila) flight.
As of posting time, only the two flights were canceled, the radio report said. - Sophia Dedace, GMANews.TV
