Cook, Archuleta grace Pacquiao victory bash


MANILA, Philippines – American Idol season 7 finalists David Cook and David Archuleta ended their promotional tour Thursday night when they graced Manny Pacquiao’s victory party in Pasig City. Cook and Archuleta, who arrived in Manila on Tuesday, will perform live on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds. In a report at QTV’s Balitanghali, the party was hosted by former Ilocos Sur governor and deputy national security adviser Luis “Chavit" Singson at his at the Corinthian Garden house. The party is a celebration of Pacquiao’s victory over British boxer Ricky Hatton early this month. Earlier, Cook and Archuleta made their promotion separately with the former greeting his fans at SM North Edsa while the latter made television appearances at GMA 7 shows Sis and Eat Bulaga. Both artists held a joint press conference at Edsa Shangrila Thursday night and afterwards headed to Pacquiao’s victory bash. Aside from Cook and Archuleta, Pacquiao’s closest friends, politicians, and 30 members of the diplomatic corps also attended the party. Also in attendance were Sens. Gringo Honasan, Manny Villar, Miguel Zubiri, former First Lady Imelda Marcos and son Ilocos Norte Rep. Bongbong Marcos, Justice Secretary Raul Gonzales and talent manager Annabelle Rama, who was joined by her talents. – GMANews.TV
